It's always interesting to conjecture what roles Robert might have played had he not sadly died so young. In truth, he was planning to wind down his film career to concentrate on writing, but it's common knowledge that during his lifetime certain roles came and went such as Kim Philby and Alexander the Great and he and Richard Dreyfuss had made a pact to star on stage in King Lear together. 

Losing such a talented actor at such a young age leaves us feeling cheated of what great performances we might have seen. Now, with the use of AI, here is a selection of roles Robert might have excelled in and some actors he might have worked with or re-united with in the future. And indeed some roles he might have played whilst he was still alive.

This is only a bit of fun, but it does leave you wishing we'd had more of his work to enjoy.
